Mission statement – RSS
The Red Shoe Society (RSS) is a group of philanthropic young professionals with a collective goal to enhance the mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Intermountain through volunteerism and service, raising funds, and generating community awareness. Through these pursuits, members will have the opportunity to network with others committed to these purposes, build life skills and professional connections, as well as give back to the community in which they live. Wearing red shoes has become our symbol to invite others to join in our passion to keep families near to one another.

For over 25 years, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area has been dedicated to the health and happiness of children everywhere. And while we can’t always make the medicine taste better, we can certainly ease the pain of a much-needed treatment, and quicken the pace of a long-term recovery.
Our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of children receiving treatment at area hospitals. Seriously ill or injured children heal much faster and cope much better when surrounded by loved ones, and we offer our house as a place where families can rest and regroup; hope and heal; laugh and love. Together.
Through the help of our partner in care, McDonalds – as well as through the donations and gifts from individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations – the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City continues to keep its doors open, and continues to fulfill its mission to support and assist every child who stands in need.
